ABOUT THE SURFCOAST
This region - known as The Surfcoast is located on the Victorian coastline less than 2 hours drive from Melbourne. Accommodation options are plentiful with a wide range of accommodation Types in the area. Motels, Bed and Breakfast, Units, Holiday Homes, Camping and much more.

The area is renowned for its extensive range of activities and relaxations. The surfcoast is famous for its surf beaches, including the spectacular Bells Beach. There are expansive and protected swimming beaches which are ideal for families, as well as grassy foreshore reserves providing picnic and BBQ facilities with shady trees.

A host of other attractions beyond the beach include a vast array of dining and café experiences, shopping at Torquay's surf plaza retail/factory outlets, Surfworld museum.

For the sporty there is Torquay golf club, Anglesea golf club (complete with kangaroo residents), several tennis clubs, surf schools, beautiful coastal and bush walks.
To relax there are wineries at Torquay and in nearby Geelong and Bellarine peninsula. … and of course Torquay is the gateway to the spectacularly scenic Great Ocean Rd - complete with lovely coastal villages to explore along the way.
